Disclaimer

These documents are draft placeholders prepared for review. They are not legal advice and should not be relied on until checked by a qualified Australian lawyer.

1. Our philosophy

The Prof exists because we believe students are becoming dependent on AI thinking for them. Our tools are designed to coach thinking — not to replace it. Used well, AI accelerates learning. Used badly, it erodes it.

2. AI disclosure

Parts of our service use generative AI (large language models). AI outputs may be incomplete, biased or wrong, and must not be relied on as a substitute for a qualified teacher, doctor, lawyer or other professional. Always check important answers.

3. Academic integrity

Most schools and the SCSA, VCAA, NESA, SACE and QCAA boards have strict rules about AI use in assessment. You must not submit AI-generated work as your own where this is forbidden. Use The Prof to understand, not to cheat.

4. Prohibited use

  • Sharing your account credentials
  • Scraping, reverse-engineering or reselling our tools
  • Submitting unlawful, harmful, or harassing content
  • Attempting to extract personal information about other users
  • Using our tools to harm minors in any way

5. Child safety

Many of our students are under 18. We expect adult users (tutors, parents, partners) to behave consistently with Australian child-safety standards. We will report serious concerns to the appropriate authorities.

6. Reporting issues

If you see misuse, inaccurate AI output, or a safety concern, email theprof@asktheprof.com.au.
