1. Who we are
Ask The Prof ("we", "us", "The Prof") provides ATAR tutoring, AI-assisted learning products and related services from Perth, Western Australia.
2. Your subscription
By creating an account or subscribing you agree to these Terms. Subscriptions renew on the cycle shown at checkout until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to share your account, scrape our content, resell access, or use our tools to produce work submitted as your own where your school's academic-integrity policy forbids it. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.
4. AI products
Our AI tools are designed to coach thinking, not to replace it. Outputs may be incomplete or incorrect and must not be relied on as a substitute for qualified teaching, medical, legal or other professional advice. You remain responsible for your own work.
5. Intellectual property
All course materials, prompts, software and AI products remain the property of The Prof. You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use them while your subscription is active.
6. Refunds and consumer rights
Australian Consumer Law guarantees apply and cannot be excluded. Outside those guarantees, subscription fees are generally non-refundable for partial periods. Contact us if something isn't working as promised.
7. Minors and parental consent
By creating an account or subscribing, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or that a parent or guardian has read these Terms and agrees to them on your behalf. Parents and guardians accept responsibility for the account, payment, and the student's use of the service. We collect the minimum personal information necessary to deliver the service and will provide parental access to a minor's information on request.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees you have paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia.
